Premium sock construction
Oct 25, 2023| Just like any baby clothing, make sure your baby's socks are well-made and made from high-quality materials. Cheaply made baby socks can have loose lint, and these lint can have very unfortunate consequences.
Seamless socks made from one piece of material rarely have any loose threads, making them the best choice for baby socks.
Toe seam and sock closure (cuff) type and material are also important considerations.
A cuff that is too tight or poorly constructed may leave marks or loosen more quickly.
Premium toe seams are virtually imperceptible with handmade flat seams; these shoes are more expensive, but more comfortable without bulky toe seams that can be irritating and uncomfortable for babies.
A fitted cuff made of knitted elastane helps prevent the sock from slipping during vigorous kicks and twists. However, this is easily overlooked because baby socks don’t need spandex to fit properly.
